3. Wiping Out the Middleman:
Slicing out the middleman seems to be the trend across all industries and home design industry is no different. The new start-ups are remodelling the otherwise long supply chain of the industry to bring down the cost factor.
4. Labels Are Loosening:
The days of classic rules of design are gone. The mantra today is to use different styles and create a creative space that is a comfortable and unique extension of the client. The fast-changing rules of the game are allowing designers to create unique homes and probably setting the base for new rules of designing in future.
5. Going Back to Roots:
Most successful design trends of the future have their origins, to some degree, in the best trends of the past. This design industry is also following the same mantra where people are going back in time enjoying stuff used in 50’s and 60’s. The trend that is coming is to blend very high-end stuff with flea market finds to give homes that natural, understated and casual feel. The beauty is to spend a lot of time in detailing, yet somehow the room should not look detail-oriented, but casual and laid back.
